This term, comprehension is going to be the focus of our English homework. Please only complete the amount of questions you feel suitable for your child as the children all work at different speeds. Please encourage the children to check all their answers carefully.

 

If your child answers the questions orally which you're very welcome to do, please just send a note to say you've completed it.

 

*From Week 2, there will be an Option B comprehension provided each week for children who feel that challenge is more appropriate for them.

Week 1 - To be submitted Tuesday May 2nd

Week 2 - Due Tuesday, May 9th *Please note the attached reading text, will be the focus over the coming weeks. Each week, there will be a different set of questions to be answered based on it. Answers will also be uploaded each week so that you can go through these with your child. **There will also be an Option B comprehension each week for children who feel that is a more appropriate challenge.

Week 3 - Welsh Weather Watch Continued or Option B - Due Tuesday, May 16th *Answers attached.

Week 4 and 5 (Due, Tuesday June 13th)- Please note for those choosing to continue with 'Welsh Weather Watch' this week, the homework will be set for a two week period (longer due to half term) as there are quite a few questions in this section of the comprehension. Children may decide to opt for Option B which has separate comprehensions for week 4 and 5. Both will be uploaded this week and each week, they have differentiated options within them. Please encourage your child to complete the option which is the most suitable challenge for them.
