This week we are going to enjoy a longer book together. This story is called Mimi and the Mountain Dragon by Michael Morpurgo. If you have big brothers and/or sisters at school, you might have seen videos of their teachers reading chapter books to them. Although this book is not as long as a chapter book, it is a lot longer than the picture books we usually read. Therefore, I have recorded it in lots of little videos so you can watch one or two at a time and then come back again another day to watch the next one. Listening to longer stories will help to build up your concentration and understanding. It will be important to chat to your grown up before/after each part to check you know what is happening in the story, there are some big words in here too so if you don't know what something means make sure you ask your grown up and you can find out together. Learning big and ambitious words is really exciting and great for your language development. Let me know on Tapestry if you enjoyed listening to a longer book and I will try to find another for us to share together.
