Monday 18th January

1. Hunt for your tricky words in magazines or books. Which word did you find the most? The least?

Tricky word key ring cards. Feel free to move your child onto the next few words once they know the ones on their key rings. We are currently working on the Phase 3 tricky words (the purple ones). If you don't have a printer then get your child to help you to make some using paper/card.

2. Lesson 34 (part 2) - Reception

Our Reception Letters and Sounds Phonics lessons teach children to read letters and begin to blend to read words

3. Simple Sentence Writing

On Friday we learnt the sound 'x' and you read a story about Bex and the Fox. Your grown up is going to read two sentences to you. Listen to each sentence carefully. Say the sentence out loud. Count how many words are in the sentence. Can you write the sentences? Remember to use your robot arms to sound out the words. The words in red are tricky words, these cannot be sounded out. Don't forget your finger spaces. Upload a picture of your sentences to Tapestry.

Bex is six.

She put the fox in a box.
