Y1 child reading a challenging non fiction book

Supporting reading at home with an information book. This example shows us reading a challenging text - with a lot of new vocabulary to decode.

What should learning look like?

These documents are used by teachers as examples of what learning should look like at the end of the year if a child has met the Early Learning Goal in that area. You may wish to have a look if you are unsure of what your child's learning should look like. Remember, this is the level children are expected to be at the end of the year.
