Thursday 14th January

How to play:

  • Roll a dice (if you don't have a dice you can get electronic dice online).
  • Read the first word next to the number you rolled. If you read the word correctly, colour it in.
  • Roll the dice again. Read the first word next to the number you rolled. If you rolled the same number, read the second word and so on.

You could make this a 2 player game by having two different colours. Who can read the most words correctly?

2. Lesson 33 (part 2) - Reception

Our Reception Letters and Sounds Phonics lessons teach children to read letters and begin to blend to read words

3. Simple Sentence Writing

Yesterday we learnt the sound 'w' and you read a story about The Wizard. Your grown up is going to read two sentences to you. Listen to each sentence carefully. Say the sentence out loud. Count how many words are in the sentence. Can you write the sentences? Remember to use your robot arms to sound out the words. The words in red are tricky words, these cannot be sounded out. Don't forget your finger spaces. Upload a picture of your sentences to Tapestry.
