Wednesday 13th January

  • Watch Miss Purcell talk and sign the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears again. You should be getting more confident to join in with the words and actions now.

  • Create your own Goldilocks story map. Once it is finished, use it to retell the story. I would love to see a video on Tapestry of you retelling the story using your story map. I have put some examples below for you to look at.

Here are some tips for when you make your story map:

  • Use the largest paper you can find (old rolls of wallpaper would be great!)
  • Make sure your story moves from left to right
  • Draw arrows to show what happens next
  • Only draw pictures for key events, you don't have to draw everything or it would be very long!
  • Hand draw your story map, don't print out pictures to stick on
  • Keep your map simple, bold and clear
  • Use colour to make certain parts stand out
  • Write a few key words if you wish, but do not write the whole story
  • If you need a break, that is fine, you do not have to finish your story map in one sitting
  • If you can, stick your map up somewhere accessible so you can see it clearly.
