Christmas Jumper Day!

Greek mythology

I promised the children that I would share a picture of this book which we have been looking at today in class. Although we have now finished our work on Ancient Greek gods and goddesses, many of us really had our imaginations captured by this topic and this is a really beautiful book if anyone has some pocket money saved up or has a space on their Christmas list.

Endangered Animals

In English, we have been linking in with our Around the World topic by reading and writing about Global Warming. This week we used the ipads to research animals which are being affected by climate change and then wrote a short non-fiction text about our chosen animal. As you have not had the opportunity to come into school to see children's work this term, we thought we should share our work with you virtually. See if you can spot any fronted adverbials in your child's work. We worked very hard to use our best handwriting too. We hope you enjoy them.

Eco-warriors

In Science this half term, we have moved on from classifying different plants and animals to learning about coral. We have learnt about some of the activities that are endangering the coral reef and how this will also affect other wildlife. We enjoyed making posters this week, aimed at raising awareness about what we can do to help.
