Please find details of how our Trustee board is structured on this page. 

The board of Trustees work with the Senior Leadership Team to set the strategic direction of the school, without getting closely involved in the day to day running of the school. The Headteacher is also the CEO (chief executive officer) and AO (accounting officer) and is accountable to the Board. The Deputy Headteacher is also the CFO (chief financial officer).

School Trustees have three main roles:

• Trustees ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
  The Trustee Board helps to set long-term plans for the school, alongside the Senior Leadership Team.

• Trustees hold the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and the effective and efficient performance management of staff.

• Trustees oversee the financial performance of the school and make sure its money is well spent.
  Trustees examine budgets and spending proposals to monitor whether the school is getting value for money and ensure the money is spent in the right areas.

Trustees attend 4 full Trustee Board meetings in school (usually 1 every term) and an annual planning meeting.

Trustees also sit on one sub-committee, who meet termly. The sub-committees are:

• Curriculum and Welfare; and
• Audit, Risk and Finance
