The Tudors & Our European Neighbours
Our Topic for the Autumn term is the Tudors & Our European Neighbours. To introduce the topic, we will be looking at timelines, family trees and maps. We will also be learning about:
- Tudor fashion.
- What Tudors ate and where foods they discovered came from.
- Punishments given to criminals and who was in charge of law and order.
- Illnesses and diseases that were common and how they were treated.
- What life was like for children in Tudor times.
- How the physical and human geography of England has changed since the Tudor era.
- The countries and oceans the Tudor explorers discovered.
In Autumn 2, we will focus on Henry VIII and his six wives, including the roles, responsibilities and importance of a Tudor monarch.
