Vision Statement - Our values and ethos

At Worth Primary School, the children are at the heart of everything we do and our guiding ethos is to always put the children first. We are dedicated to creating a safe, stimulating, inclusive and happy learning environment in which all children can thrive.

We have a child centred approach to teaching and learning; prioritising individual needs and developing children to have a real love of learning and building strong foundations for their futures. Our teaching reflects the needs of the class and the individual but also provides challenge at an appropriate level. We use a variety of stimuli to motivate the children’s interests and capture their curiosity to further develop their knowledge and skills. We build our children’s skills and knowledge through a broad and balanced curriculum that is inspiring, memorable and fun.

We promote the physical, social, emotional, spiritual and moral well-being of our pupils, placing great importance and emphasis on kindness and respect for everyone. We nurture positive attitudes in our school, promoting effective team work and partnerships.

We celebrate the many different achievements of our children (academic, artistic, personal and sporting) as individuals and as members of a team or class. We make connections with the wider local community and provide opportunities to explore the diversity of the rich world in which we live.

Our aim is for all our children to fulfil their full potential – academically, socially, emotionally and physically – and develop a lifelong love of learning.
