Good Morning!

Hope you had a good day yesterday and were able to do the tasks ....and get out in the snow!!

There is English and Maths to complete today, along with a topic piece which is based on our new topic - Our Amazing World.

Remember to try to do some reading and we will be having spelling and times tables quizzes next week.

Today you can listen to the story of Grandma Bird and have a go at the activities.  There is no need to print the activities out if you don't want to - just make a note of your answers on a piece of paper to bring into school.

Please complete the English and Maths tasks below.  There is also a topic task for you to have a go at.  There is no need to print anything - there are enough activities for you to do if you are unable to print at home.  Anything you do complete should be brought into school when we reopen.

Please can you look at/print the common exception word mats for Year 1 and Year 2.

First of all check that you can read all the words on both mats - start with the Year 1 mat. If not then try to learn a few of the ones you are unsure of.

Next is a spelling focus.  I have put some activities that you can complete which include worksheets and/or online games.  Have a go at completing a few of these.  Alternatively, you could choose 5 words to practise spelling and write them in a sentence.

Maths

Good morning, below you will find some Maths and English work for today. I have tried to include some options for if you are not able to print at home. Please do what you can and any sheets or written work which you complete should be brought into school on our return. It would also be helpful to;

* do some reading

* access the online games in the times table folder

* practise the spellings for our first test of the term next week.
