Curriculum Overviews
We have designed our curriculum so that it covers all areas of the National Curriculum and the EYFS Statutory Framework.
Our children have access to high quality provision in all subjects and we develop their love of learning, their skills and understanding through a variety of teaching and learning approaches.
We ensure the coverage, progression and secure understanding of all subjects, required by the different key stages by teaching core and some foundation subjects discretely. Through a mixture of subject schemes and a topic-based curriculum for History, Geography, Art & Design and Design & Technology, we offer our children a broad and balanced curriculum, making other cross curricular links wherever possible.
Our children are offered the opportunity to develop their understanding and experience of subject areas through class educational visits (e.g. to museums, galleries, educational days at National Trust properties, local areas/national parks). We also make use of professionally run workshops which come in to school and bring the experiential learning to the classroom.
