Ofsted and Performance Data

Strengths of the school

Our Ofsted report highlighted that Worth Primary is a caring and respectful school where children enjoy a broad and balanced curriculum that captures their interests.

  • Pupils are safe, happy, eager to learn and enjoy coming to Worth Primary. They make friends easily and get on well together.
  • The school has high aspirations for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
  • Reading is prioritised from the start of the early years and the school has successfully introduced a structured phonics programme (Rocket Phonics).
  • Learning in maths and English builds on pupils' earlier knowledge and pupils achieve well.
  • Pupils are proud of their leadership responsibilities e.g. School Council, 'buddies' for younger children.
  • The school provides rich opportunities for personal development such as:                    Variety of clubs                                                                                                                      Opportunities to learn to play the violin or cello                                                                      Links with the local community & charities                                                                      (supporting local church's foodbank, visiting elderly care homes to sing/talk to residents)                                                                                                                                        Exchanging letters with children in partner school in Spain

We would like to thank all our staff, pupils, and parents/carers for their continued support in making Worth Primary School a caring, family-centred community where children feel confident to learn and achieve their best.
