Thank you so much for all of your generous donations to the Wellspring Kitchens in Stockport. This morning, we had a whole school assembly learning about where these donations would go and how they would help the community. The children also enjoyed singing their 'Harvest Samba' and the rest of school were treated to a special harvest song from the reception children.
Y4 did a super job of their music performance this week. They performed some of the new music pieces they have been learning since the start of term to their families - well done to all.
Y5 had a very exciting afternoon at Poynton Library on Friday learning how to code robots with Mako Create UK. They designed and built Lego mazes and had to code a Sphero robot to get from the start of the maze to the end without any disasters. The children (and staff) really enjoyed their afternoon.
We are very proud to have achieved a Music Mark Award from The UK Association for Music Education in recognition of our commitment to high quality music education in schools. Well done to all in school but especially to our Music Subject Leader, Mrs Hall.
Y5 went on their history trip to Weaver Hall yesterday to learn more about the Anglo Saxons. They were able to handle artefacts, dress up in Anglo Saxon style clothing and make pottery crosses and chess pieces. They also learnt lots of new facts to support their learning in class.
Y2 would like to thank everyone at Poynton Fire Station for giving up their time and allowing us to visit yesterday. The children really enjoyed themselves and loved learning more about what the fire fighters do to keep us safe.
