Year 2 had an exciting start to the week - a trip to Staircase House in Stockport to learn all about the Great Fire of London. The children and the staff had an amazing day and as ever, the children were a credit to the school and their parent's/carer's.
Samuel Pepys, King Charles II and Jane, Samuel Pepys' maid, made surprise appearances, and the children enjoyed taking part in wattle and daub wall making amongst many other things.
Last week, Year 3 visited Macclesfield Silk Museum to learn all about the amazing Egyptian finds of Marianne Brocklehurst and Mary Booth, two intrepid Victorian women.
They had a wonderful experience whilst there and represented us superbly - well done Year 3.
Mrs. Devlin and Year 3 continued their learning further by investigating mummification techniques in a Science/History afternoon.
NOTICE FOR PARENTS
We've been informed that there is a Worth FreeCycle Group on Facebook where parents can recycle uniform that hasn't enough room for your not-so-little-ones anymore!

Thank you to the parent for letting us know about such a fab initiative!!!
On Monday, some of our Year 6's took part in a local school athletics competition. They represented the school superbly, with the event organiser commenting on what great sportsmanship the children from Worth showed throughout! Well done!!! 🏅🏅🏅
We have some very exciting news to share...
Arriving a little earlier than expected, Heidi Grace Johnson was born at 7.20pm on 2/2/22.
Both Mrs Johnson and Heidi are healthy and happy and looking forward to meeting their extended family at Worth soon.
Congratulations to the Johnson's on their special addition to the family - we can't wait to see you!!!
In Year 4's Science today they were doing an investigation to find out how far away we could hear a pin drop as part of our unit on Sound. Great team work from the class and a growing understanding of how to carry out a fair test.
