Our topic for the Summer Term is Rainforests. We will be learning about:
- Where rainforests are in the world and locating them on a world map.
- Exploring what it is like in a rainforest and learning about the main layers of vegetation.
- Using charts and graphs to explore the climate of tropical rainforests.
- Comparing the lives of indigenous tribes with modern society.
- Exploring how the rainforests are under threat and the actions that we take to help save them.
- Identifying and describing the different types of plants found in the rainforest.
- Identifying different animals who live in the rainforest, using branching databases.
- Grouping animals based on different classifications.
- Discovering how animals and plants in the rainforest are linked through food chains.
