Topic - Rainforests

Our topic for the Summer Term is Rainforests. We will be learning about:

Where rainforests are in the world and locating them on a world map.
Exploring what it is like in a rainforest and learning about the main layers of vegetation.
Using charts and graphs to explore the climate of tropical rainforests.
Comparing the lives of indigenous tribes with modern society.
Exploring how the rainforests are under threat and the actions that we take to help save them.
Identifying and describing the different types of plants found in the rainforest.
Identifying different animals who live in the rainforest, using branching databases.
Grouping animals based on different classifications.
Discovering how animals and plants in the rainforest are linked through food chains.
