We have been remembering those who have made a sacrifice for us today with a whole school assembly, a minute silence and remembrance activities 🌺
It was Reception's turn to visit C C Gymnastics this morning. They had a great time learning lots of new gymnastics moves and trying out new equipment (they were even just as excited about the coach journey there and back!)
This half term, each class is having two exciting visits to C C Gymnastics in Poynton. Today was the first of those visits and Y2 started us off! Didn't they do a brilliant job? Thank you Charlotte at C C Gymnastics - we are looking forward to our future sessions
This morning we were able to say goodbye to Mrs Nunn properly in assembly. Mrs Nunn has been a much loved midday at Worth for 9 years and it was lovely to see her to give her some gifts from the staff and school. We will miss her lots but she has promised to keep on visiting us!
Thank you so much for all of your donations this morning for the Harvest Festival. Everyone at The Wellspring Stockport will be very grateful.
Y3 had a great time at Tatton Park on Friday learning all about the Saxons and Vikings. The children did some weaving, ground flour and were put through their paces in warrior training! Thank you to the staff and well done to the children who represented the school brilliantly.
Gardening Club returned after school yesterday and the children and staff were really impressed with the crops. They had carrots, spring onions, courgettes and...a pumpkin! We will keep you updated on the harvest.
We've had a fantastic European Day of Languages in school today starting off with a multilingual assembly from Mrs Devlin. The children have enjoyed doing language and country based activities throughout the day. Thank you for putting such effort into the costumes.
Year 4 have started their violin and cello lessons. They have made a great start to these lessons - hopefully we can share some of what they learn over the next few weeks!
Year 5 had a fabulous science afternoon dissecting lilies in the sunshine to identify all the different parts of a flower.
