We had a wonderful time celebrating with Y6 after school yesterday. Well done to all of the children who received Headteacher's awards and the Jude Holland award. We are all so proud of you and wish you the very best of luck for the future - well done to our fantastic Y6!
WOW - what a day it was yesterday for Y6! They had their very own festival in the woods, 'Worthstock'. The children had lots of fun playing games, eating treats and spending time with each other. We are all looking forward to another end of year party with them after school today too!
The children had a fantastic time yesterday during our Olympics Tokyo 2021 Day. They enjoyed many sports including archery, sprinting, handball, long jump and hockey. Thank you to Progressive Sports who ran the day - it was brilliant.
Year 5 are having fun at the end of their Earth and Space topic designing and making their own Mars Rovers.
It was our Y5/6 tennis team's turn to represent the school yesterday. The children played brilliantly and brought more medals and trophies back to school. Well done Team Worth!
Reception have been excited to receive replies to the letters they sent to the children at some other primary schools near the seaside. They have been learning about 'Under the Sea' and had lots of questions about what it was like to live near the seaside. They now know all about these seaside towns.
Thank you Primary Workshops for Schools for our amazing African drumming workshops. We all had a fantastic time and really enjoyed learning about and playing the different instruments.
We have had some amazing hairstyles for the PTA Crazy Hair Day today! Thank you so much for your efforts and for supporting the PTA by raising funds to be spent on the children.
Y3 and Y6 have been enjoying some outdoor Maths today Y6 used their estimating and measuring skills to investigate different types of triangles and Y3 measured out prehistoric animals such as the woolly rhino and mammoth as part of their bronze, iron and stone age topic.
Recently, Reception have been learning all about life cycles. They've built a tadpole pond, watched caterpillars transform into butterflies before releasing them in the woods and hatched some chicks for Mrs Kay. They've really enjoyed lots of hands on learning.
