• Cheshire Fire and Rescue Visit to Y5

  Cheshire Fire and Rescue came to visit our Y5 class this week. The children enjoyed the visit and felt that they had learnt some really useful safety tips. 

   

  Top Tips from Zach, Megan and Anya:

  Before bed: Tidy your bedroom, close all downstairs doors, turn off any electrical items, lock your front door and keep the house keys in a place everyone in the house knows.

  

• New iPads

  Our new iPads have all been set up over the Christmas holidays and are now being used by the children. The classes love their new iPads and have found them really useful in their lessons. 

  

• Christmas Parties

  The children have had great fun the last two afternoons at their infant and junior parties. They dressed up in their best party clothes, ate lots of party food, played a selection of different games and had a good old boogie!

  

• Christmas Lunch and Jumpers

  We all got into the festive spirit today by coming into school in our Christmas jumpers for our Christmas lunch. We have had a great day!

  

• If you go down to the woods...

  Reception and Y6 had a lovely morning yesterday down in the woods. They used natural materials to make some Christmas decorations as part of a creative arts session. Y6 did a great job of leading the Reception children - well done. 

  

• Recycling Competition

  A huge well done and thank you to all of the children who entered the recycling competition this half term. Our recycling monitors were very impressed with the entries and found it extremely difficult to choose the winners. Well done to those who won for their age group.

  

• Cinderella - Dress Rehearsal

  The children had their first full dress rehearsal yesterday. They did a super job and enjoyed having a small audience to practise in front of from Worth Pre-School, Carmel Lodge Care Home, First Steps and some other local spectators. • PTA Christmas Fair 2018

  Thank you so much to everyone who helped at and came to the Christmas Fair on Friday evening. It was a lovely evening filled with food, drink, laughter, music and lots of fun! A particular thank you to our PTA who worked extremely hard to organise such a wonderful event.

  

• New Parking "Monitors"

  Thank you so much to our PTA for buying the school new parking signs for the turning circle. We are sure that our new "monitors" are going to do a great job. Please remember that the turning circle is to be kept clear and is not for parking in. Thank you for your understanding.

  

• Macc Town Football Club

  Some of our Y5 and Y6 children had the opportunity to play at Macclesfield Town's football ground yesterday in a mini tournament against other schools. The team played really well and, as always, had a brilliant 'Worth attitude'. Thank you to Mr Smythe, Mrs Giles and all of the supporters.
