• Choir Club Visit Woodlands Nursing Home

  This half term, Mrs Hall and the Choir Club returned to Woodlands Nursing Home to sing to the residents. The children sang so beautifully, it was a delight to listen to them.  All the staff and residents enjoyed it and were very appreciative of the lovely sound that the children made! 

  

• Summer Fair

  Thank you to our PTA for organising such a wonderful summer fair. All who came really enjoyed themselves and the glorious sunshine was the cherry on top. Thank you also to all of the staff and helpers who gave up their time to make it a success.

  

• Science Day

  The children all enjoyed their whole school Science Day today. The STEM Ambassador from Astra Zeneca, Mrs Cherryman, impressed everyone with her knowledge and interesting facts. The children did a variety of different experiments all day and then presented their findings to the other classes. Thank you Mrs Devlin for organising a brilliant day.

  

• End Ball at Poynton High School

  Year 6 attended the Poynton End Ball Competition this sunny afternoon over at the high school. The children thoroughly enjoyed playing this new game and getting to meet lots of new children from the other primaries. Thank you to Mrs Huck and Mrs Cherry for attending the event with them.

  

• Pizza Tasting in Year 4

  Year 4 have had a lot of fun this afternoon spending their time eating pizza! It was all in the name of market research for their latest technology project - a tough job but somebody's got to do it. 

  

• Woodbank Athletics Tournament

  On Wednesday 27th June, a selection of children from our Year 5 and 6 classes attended the annual Woodbank Park Athletics Tournament. A huge well done to all who took part. The children did really well in their individual sports and, as a team, they came 5th out of 13 schools. Congratulations Worth! Thank you to all of the parents who came down and helped as well as Miss Wyatt, Mr Smythe, Mrs Giles and Mr Greaves.

  

• Exotic Animal Encounter

  Today, Rob and Laura from Animals UK visited our school. In the morning, we had a whole school assembly about how to behave around the animals and Rob and Laura told us about what their jobs entailed. Each class then had a session to meet some of the animals and even handle them. It was a really exciting day and everyone learnt lots of new and interesting facts. We met a snake, a tarantula, a skunk, a chameleon, a tortoise and a tenrec. Thank you to Rob and Laura.
